The Thesis: Cross The Bridge
The internet I grew up on rewarded curiosity. The one we have now treats people as a behavioral surface to be measured, monetized, and steered. Money flows through systems built to surveil. Data is collected, sold, and weaponized. Infrastructure is centralized to a handful of vendors that can revoke access at will. None of this requires a conspiracy to explain — the incentives are already pointed in that direction.
The work I do is organized around three pillars. Money: Bitcoin and Monero return monetary control to the people holding the keys, not the institutions issuing the rails. Data: open-source tools, encryption, and self-hosting let people retain what gets recorded about them. Infrastructure: owning the nodes, the compute, and the storage that mediate daily life — instead of renting them — is the framework I want to leave my kids.
None of these are new ideas on their own. Stitched together, they're a path. The point of the work: Cross the bridge from the Old World to the New. Leave the legacy systems behind and build what comes next, deliberately, while it's still possible to opt out without going off-grid.
About Me
My Style
Everything, everywhere, all at once. I run multiple projects in parallel and hate wasted time — engineer's habit. I'd rather double-dip than focus, which means I'm at my best at the strategy level: pulling threads together, spotting where two unrelated problems share a solution, picking the team that can ship. The trade-off is the day-to-day. Small details, scheduling, repeating myself — those are where I leak time. I try to delegate or automate them; sometimes I get away with it.
How I Work
I work in waves. There are stretches where I'm head-down on one deadline well into the night, and stretches of unstructured time where I'm reading, writing, or talking to people in the same orbit. I'm rarely fully off, and I'd rather take a Tuesday afternoon with the family than punch in for a 9-to-5. Most useful things I've built started as a conversation. So I keep the calendar light enough to have those conversations, and the phone off enough to actually finish what they generate.
What I'm Building
Right now: Bitcoin Bay, the Florida-Bitcoin community I helped build. FBBA, shaping the state-level policy edge. Cross The Bridge, the brand for the consulting work — AI implementation, agent integration, and the sovereign-AI stack this thesis points at — paid work for Tampa Bay teams putting AI to actual use, which funds the rest. The bridge isn't a hypothetical; it's the thing being built.
